How the Internet works

I came across this site, http://www.satelliteinternetbroadband.com/, and learned a lot about how to get Internet deals at my house. Weirdly, it got me to thinking how the Internet works in general. I use it so often, but I really never understood the way it worked. I know at the click of a few buttons, I can surf the web, but what the heck is it? How does it really work? Well I looked up a few things and read for about an hour. I still do not know how the Internet works unfortunately. Something about networks and software. I just do not know and I think I might never understand it! Good thing I am not in a technology related profession. I guess that is why I never pursued one, though. It was always just so hard to understand code and all that junk. It reminds me of my chemistry class trying to understand it all. All these little symbols and letters we needed to know that meant something. We had to draw molecules a certain way and I never could do it quite right. Guess it just is not my thing.

The Guitar

My husband loves to play the guitar. As a matter of fact he even took lessons way back when he was younger. I always secretly love to listen to him play when he gets it out an actually has time to do it. He has a few guitars and I love hearing him play them both. He has a few other things that go along with them like the D'Addario guitar strings as well as a bass and an amplifier as well. I wish we had more time so that he could play more. I know that it is really something that he enjoys doing. Maybe he can teach Ben a few song because I know he is very interested in learning it as well.

Riding lessons

I remember when I was little on of my best friends always took horse back riding lessons. I was never really into it and I did always wonder why she wanted to take them. I did not think that it was something that was a very useful skill to have. I wanted to take piano lessons when I was young but we have no place to put a piano for me to practice on in our small house. My friend however had a cute little outfit along with equestrian helmets. She looked really cute, and maybe that was what her mom was looking fro after all. I have lost touch with her now but I wonder if she ever did anything with those lessons.

Lots of Land

One thing that Ken has always wanted was lots of land. I have to say when I meat him and many years afterwards I was totally against it. Not that I did not want a big back yard but I was just not really into the no neighbors thing. I have always had neighbors my whole life and I guess I kinda liked having them. Now as it turns out I have changed my mind. It has nothing to do with my neighbors right now because they are all very nice. I just would love to have the freedom of doing as I wish rather than being so close to a town. You can have metal buildings on your land and also and in ground year round pool. That is something that I would love to have. I would love to have pool parties with family and friends all year. It would beat the boredom for the winter blues. I now cant wait to find or build a house with a big piece of land attached.

xbox

One thing we just do not have time for is fun things that we enjoy. I know that Ken enjoys playing video games but he never really has much time at night to play. He goes to work than he has school and homework. We also have to work on homework with Ben and by then it seems as if the night is over. We do not have the newest of game systems of games and I have to say we really do not buy games because Ken can just download them. We do not have an xbox 360 and Ken does not mention that he would like to get one. I do have a friend that got one for Christmas and really enjoys having it. Ben also likes to play once in a while but we have a rule that during the school week video games are not to be played. He has other things like reading and spelling words that have priority. Ken set that rule up and I actually like it as well. We think school is more important.

Tax season

Well it is officially tax season. As of the first of this month all the companies by law had to have their employees tax forms in the mail. We have already received all of our and I finished the taxes. I am glad that we are getting a refund again this year. It is always nice to have it to pay a couple bills and to save some. This year we are paying off our two debts that we owe so we will again be debt free. We have to pay our furniture and the laptop and we will be finished. one thing that I always wanted to do was be an accountant. I loved the class in high school but never continued with it afterwards. There are plenty of raleigh cpa that can help you get your taxes done if you don't know how to do them yourself. It is really easy to do but some like the security of knowing that someone else is doing it for them.

Making desserts

I have to start making my super bowl desserts tonight because we are having some family come in tomorrow. We are meeting them for dinner Polly at a buffet in Bradley. It has been forever since we went to a buffet. They are not my favorite place but its easy with a larger group of people. We are going to watch a basketball game that my cousin is in at the sports complex there in the afternoon and having dinner afterwards. Should be a fun time. I better get cooking. Take care friends.

Something Funny

One thing that I really like is when I see someone with a funny shirt. It always brings a smile to my face to see custom funny shirts that people created themselves. I like them the best because they are very original. Now days you can create your own shirts and have them printed right on your website. You can make you own funny shirt just about anywhere. Its nice to see a funny shirt once in a while since there are so many ugly bad shirts out there.

YoYo

I remember the very first time I went to Texas alone. I was just 16 years old and I saved my money from working and I bought myself a plane ticket and flew for the first time to Texas to visit my family. I could not wait to go because I never had been on a plane before and I really wanted to see everyone in Texas. I remember that when I was there the biggest fad that was going around was yoyo's. Just about every kid had one and my cousin was really good at doing it and even showed me some tricks. I seen just about every type of yoyo there but I never seen a
diabolo before but they might be a new thing. It looks like you could do some really cool tricks with them. I think its cool that they even have a DVD that shows you how to do the tricks. Maybe I should get one to impress my kids.

Boxing Day?

Okay I have to admit I have never seen a whole boxing match. To be honest it is a little to violent for my taste and I can not stand to see people beat each other up for the entertainment of others. I really can not stand to see people bleeding all over the place it is really gross to me. So when I read about the Boxing day sale I really did not even know the day existed. I guess the day is sometime in December. I might hit up the sale but I will not be tuning into any fights or boxing matches for entertainment. I prefer good clean fun and entertainment. Maybe some day I will watch a match but not in the near future.

BRAVO TV

There’s nothing about BRAVO that I don’t like. I’m ashamed to admit it but I really love reality TV and pretty much all the programming on BRAVO as of late has been reality based and ever since I got TV from Direc4u.comit’s all I’ve got on my set at any given moment. I like all the Real Housewives shows and anything hosted by Andy, you know, that guy who does all the interviews with the housewives? Recently the Orange Countyseason wrapped up and it’s been so much following those ladies for the last few years and I think the reason I like it so much is that it makes me feel better about myself. The good thing is, when one season ends another one usually isn’t too far behind so I think New Jersey is still on and Atlanta should be starting again sometime soon. I’m never far from my reality TV drama when I’ve got BRAVO on in the background and I don’t really care who knows it, to tell you the truth!
