POS

Have you ever went into a store that did not have a POS Hardware system? I have seen quite a few of the little mom and pop shops that still use the price tag system. I don't know why they don't choose to upgrade because then it also helps to keep the stores inventory. I think it is a much faster and easier way to keep things organized. I used to work at a store that did not have one of these systems and they went out of business because they could not keep the store stocked. I always wonder if they would still be in business if they were more up to date. I really loved that job and was so sad when they closed the doors forever.

Work Uniforms

So many people are in medical fields. Whether it be in a dentist profession or in the medical fields, they really do have some cute uniforms. I remember the days when they all used to have to wear the same thing and the same color. It made for one boring place with a lot of the same color. I am so glad that they have come out of the old and now give people a choice. At cherokee workwear you can find some pretty amazing styles of all sizes. It makes for a colorful workplace and happier employees that can have a choice in their uniform.

When I was little....

When I was little I always had a decorative switch plates in my room growing up. I actually still have the cover in a keepsake box that I have from my childhood. It was a loony tunes cover. On it was bugs bunny and daffy duck as well as other characters. I always wanted to get our kids a decorative one for their rooms as well but never really seen them for sale at our hardware store. I never thought to check online for some silly reason. I see now they have lots of different ones to choose from.

Samples and Social Media

One place I have to say is the best place to get samples is on facebook. I have had numerous full size samples come for me in the mail. I love to try products before I buy them. And one place to get them is on facebook. Not only do I connect with my friends I also connect with companies as well.

Preparing for the future

As many of my readers know my family you know that I have a sister. It might be hard to believe for some but my sister and I are almost 16 years apart. That means I am a stay at home mom of three children and she is still a sophomore in high school. It seems like high school was light years away from me already. However last week my sister was talking to me about taking her SAT's to see what college she can get into. I do not even remember taking the tests myself as it was so long ago already. My mom was asking me if I knew how she could help prepare for the tests and I really did not know of any resources. I did not know that StudyPoint even existed at the time of the conversation. I have been doing a little looking into the company and it seems like a great place to help you prepare for these college entrance tests. I was impressed with their website. I am for sure going to pass the info on to my sister who still has not found a good resource to help her.

My son has such a different life than I did as a child. For one thing, no one had a cell phone when I was growing up. Nowadays everyone has a cell phone and it’s usually in their hand while they are texting or posting to twitter or Facebook or taking a picture. My son can work my iPhone better than I can! I hand it to him and in like five seconds he is watching some video on You Tube or on Disney.com. TV is even different than when I was little. There were cartoons on every Saturday morning and I looked forward to them all week. Now that I think about it, maybe cartoons were on every morning, but that is the only day I was allowed to watch them or turn on the TV for that matter. My mom would have the hardest time trying to get me up for school each morning, but I would be up at the crack of dawn on Saturday morning to watch cartoons. We have tvbydirect and my son can find a cartoon to watch at any time of the day! He knows how to work the remote and will find a show without even asking!

Surgery

Well I have to say other than three c-sections I have not had a surgery in my life. I don't think most people do unless you have major health problems. I remember when I was younger my mom had surgery on her back. She still has a bad back and should prolly look into spinal laser surgery again. It was not around when I was younger so it was not an option. The surgery did help her for the most part but she still has days that are very painful for her. I always feel sorry for her when I see her so miserable because of her bad back. I hope that she can get help sometime soon. Maybe this is the option that could really help her.

A Pool

One thing that I have always wanted is a swimming pool. I have wanted one since I was younger, but we never had a yard for a pool. I often wonder if we could put a pool in our yard here in Steger. We have not really looked into it yet but I am tempted every single year. One thing that would be very important would be taking a look at pool safety covers so that our kids would be safe as well as the neighborhood kids if they should come into our yard. A pool can be very fun but also very dangerous with small kids if you don't take the precautions. I might look into one this summer.

Cigar Smoke

One thing that I can stand the smell of is some cigars. I do not at all encourage anyone to smoke because it is terrible for your health. However the only thing that I sometimes can stand is the smell of a cigar. Some of the Swisher Sweets do not smell that bad. They are much better than the smell of cigarettes. I used to have an uncle that always would smoke a cigar. We would only see him once in a while during the holiday season. Now whenever I smell a cigar smell it reminds me of Christmas at my grandmas house when all my Texas family used to also live in illinois. You can get so many different cigars online that you can not find anywhere else these days. The Internet is such a good resource to find things.

New Hobbies

One thing I always wish I had was a hobby. I really used to love scrap booking but it soon got away from me. I did not have a place that I could lay all my materials out all the time. I did not like putting them away because I never then knew what I had. I always liked it when people had wood working hobbies. There is so many different small thing that you could make. I used to have a doll house when I was younger that was made by a wood worker. It was very neat to have. The woodworker used tons of tiny tools to make room and little furniture that went perfectly in my doll house rooms. He must have used tools like micrometers to get things just perfect. I always wanted a hand made doll house for Madison but we don't know anyone that is a experienced wood worker. I actually have a few hand crafted items from my childhood. I still cherish them today.

Keeping Safe

With three kids that are very curios we always try to keep things out of their reach. Some things you can do that with and then other things are next to impossible. There is only so many places that you can put cables that a kid can not reach. We always use a cable cover and make it look like there is nothing under it. Not only is it great for hiding them from the kids but it also makes a place that was over crowded with cords look nice and clean and out of the way. It allows you to drive over the cables in the garage and keep them tidy in the house. Ken also used them at work by his desk. It keeps things nice and safe so nobody will trip over the wires. I like things safe. We have enough injuries without making more.

So Cold

It is getting so cold here in Illinois. I really hate this time of year and it always makes me wish that I liked some place where it did not always get so cold for so long. I know that when you get cold people always begin to layer their clothing. I am one of those people. I try to stay warm any way that I can. I would much rather wear two sweatshirts than a huge winter coat. I also like the layer look with a vest. I seen that they now have a heated vest. That is really something that I'm interested in owning. I think it would also be a great gift for my mom as well. She is always cold and is always wearing a vest. It might be the perfect gift for her this year.

Perfect Printer

In our house we have a couple printers. We have one printer that is on our living room and that is a type of laser printers. We use this for everyday printing because it is just a black and white printer and we never have to replace the ink. As a matter of fact we have had the printer for two years now and have never replaced the ink at all. You can tell that we really do not print that often. The laser printer uses a toner and does not use very much at a time plus it is really fast at printing multiple pages. The toner does cost a lot to replace but since we do not do it often it really pays to have one. The other printer we have is an all in one. We have that one in the kids room on their computer. It is color they like it when they print out their pages. I like the laser printer and when you buy your toner online you can save as well.

Always wrong

I have to say I am not sure what is wrong with the delivery men in our area, but for some strange reason I get something delivered to me once a week that is not mine. They always use the same line when I am chasing them down the street. They tell me that they looked at the street and it was the same as mine. I have the same house number as the street I live on. It seems like they do not really pay attention. If I was not an honest person they would be loosing a lot of packages because they are giving them to the wrong house. I was thinking about getting a home address signs that spell the street name rather than have the number. I wonder if that would have an impact on them reading the numbers right. It sure would be nice to get my packages once in a while.

Teachers Birthday

Last week was one of the teachers birthdays at Maddie's school. It happened to be her teacher. The kids were very excited because they all really love their teacher. They had a small birthday party for her in the classroom on her special day. The kids were all given small little goodie bags and we all chipped in to get the teacher a small gift as well as a floral arrangement in honor of her special day. I have to admit that I am always getting flowers. I do not need really expensive ones but Ken always sends them to me as a surprise. I have never had flowers that were so fresh before I had flowers from online. I would not think they would be as pretty but they are much better than the average florist. I was for sure impressed. As far as the teacher bouquet it was beautiful just as I suspected. She loved them very much and the kids were very excited to give them to her.

New Table

I remember when Ken and I used to have a table in the living room. It was a glass table and when the kids were learning to walk I was always afraid that they would bump their heads. I asked Ken to put it away when they were learning. To be honest it has been done ever since. We just kept having more kids and then they would also learn to walk and I was worried for them as well. No I would say I am ready for a new table. I would really like a rustic dining table to go with our new furniture. I would prefer it to be brown just like our furniture. I think it would make the living room look furnished. Maybe I will look around online to see if I see one that would fit our room.

Car Audio

I will never forget when I got my very first car. I was very excited. I did not have enough money to buy the car so my grandpa bought it for me and allowed me to pay him back when I got paid from my job. He was basically my loan officer. It worked out really well and I got him paid off in no time at all. I was then very excited to update my car audio and get a cd player in the car. I saved for that as well. It was very nice and I loved using it. However one day when I was at a college class someone broke into my car and took it right out of the car. I could not believe it. How could someone steal it from me. I was very upset. I was in the process of getting a new car and I knew that I wanted a cd player as a standard option. I never wanted that to happen again.

Insurance

Insurance is one thing that I really do not like to pay for, but as much as I hate it I would never go without it. I want to buy more insurance for us and for our kids in the near future. I am very happy right now with our insurance companies that we have but that does not mean I would not switch for a better price or coverage. I did not know that there was a separate insurance you need for an rv. Ken and I were looking into getting one and we thought that we should check out how much rv insurance was before we made the purchase. It was very reasonable but we will probably wait until next year to make the purchase. We started looking around late in the year and want to have more choices when we buy.

Awards

In the summer we always try to get the kids into a sport of their choice. Last year Ben did baseball for the very first time. It was t-ball the year before that and soccer as well. He did not really like soccer because he was afraid when the ball was being kicked at him. I decided that then he should not do it this season and maybe we would try it again in the future. Either way the kids always all get trophies to show it is the end of the season. I like that all the players get them because even if some are not as good as others they all did a great job working together. Next year Maddie will be old enough for soft ball and I know she will be very excited as well.

A Shower

I am going this weekend to a wedding shower that is for a friends sister. I really do not know her very well but my friend asked me to come and take pictures of the event. She knows I have a pretty nice camera and has seen some pictures that I have taken and I guess she liked them. I told her by no means am I a professional but she understands thankfully. I know my friend has really been working hard on this shower for the past few weeks. She has done everything for the shower from the Table top displays to the favors. I can not wait to see how it all turns out in the long run. I am sure it will be beautiful.

Did Not Know

Well I was a little surprised when I found out that different conference calls for business cost a ton of money if you use them often. I guess it is not something that I know very much about so I really never payed attention to it. I also dont know because I never worked in a setting like that where there is conference calls all the time. I sure hope all these companies have someone that does conference call price comparison. I think that every business should have one person dedicated to saving money. I see so many places that waste money and it just amazes me every time. Even my husbands work with the stories he tells me of things that people do the company wastes so much money. They need someone to reform their spending. I just dont think they will every be a budget friendly company like so many other companies.

Playing Store

One thing that my kids like to do quite often is play grocery store. It is something that I encourage because it helps them to work together and it also helps them to learn about money. They use real money to buy toys and some canned good that pretend to bye from each other. One thing that always use is their toy cash register. I am sure they would love to have a real cash drawer to play with. I could fill it with some dollars as well as coins to help them realize the value of money and to also teach them to count money as well as saving it. I like that they have such big imaginations.

Video Games

One thing that I do not believe in is allowing you kids to always watch tv or play video games. I do not believe that a kid should be able to memorize any movie just from watching it all the time. I think that those kids watch to much tv and that their parents use it as a babysitter. It is really sad to me. With that said my kids do watch some tv and they also have a nintendo ds. They do not play them all the time as a matter of fact they usually just use them on long car trips. It saves us from them asking if we are there yet and it makes the time go faster for them. I believe that kids need to play more than use electronics. It helps them learn and grow.

Nothing But Dell

In the beginning of the year we were in the market for a new laptop computer. We searched and searched for the best computer for the price. One thing was that we knew that we really liked the Dell computers. We already had a Dell desktop as well as a laptop. I really wanted to seal the deal with dell home coupons. Channeling Pretty Little Liars with my makeup

The thing that I find funny about Pretty Little Liars is that these girls on there are getting harassed by some psycho, yet they still manage to look perfectly put together. I guess that one could learn a thing or two from them about prioritizing your beauty routine! OK so I'm joking, but I won't lie those girls are enviably put together on the show despite their characters being distressed the whole time.

In the spirit of that, I thought that it would be a good idea to look up how to do some of their makeup looks and apply it to my beauty routine every once in a while. While I was looking up some screen captures to use as reference, I ran across the site clearwirelessinternet4g.com. After I read through it a little bit I decided to show it to my roommates and we ended up changing our internet access over to it.

I found a couple of good examples of their eye makeup, especially ones that I was able to look up at close to go by and I was impressed by my results. Especially with trying out these looks for the first time.

Garmin GPS

One thing that I love is our GPS system. I think that we made the right choice getting the garmin brand. It is the number one selling GPS system in the world. I did not know how great they were until a year ago when we bought ours. We use it all the time and when we go on vacation. I can see why the garmin golf gps review is so good. I am sure that it has a ton of extra features just like ours does. I have really never went real golfing before but I am sure it would be very helpful if I did. I always wonder how those people can hit that ball so far and not loose it. I might have to try it once in my life. Maybe when Ken retires we will go golfing in another tropical state and bring the gps with us to help us out.

Hard to buy for?

Ken always tells me that I am really hard to buy gifts for. I always tell him that I am super easy I don't know why he says that. I think that women are much easier than men. I will take just about anything that smells nice or is a decoration for the house. Well I know some men do have a hard time so let me tell you that your wife will love these.
As a matter of fact I am sure you will love them as well. They would make the perfect gift for your wife or teachers. It will just about make anyone drool. I think just about everyone loves strawberries even those that are allergic to them love them and wish they could eat them. It is actually the perfect gift to give someone because speciality food always goes over well. Try them and let me know what you think. They sure look delicious to me.

Speaking about Babies

Well speaking about babies I can not believe that my baby is already two years old. I remember when he was first born. I was so worried about him because he was having problems breathing. I was very good that I knew he had a wonderful doctor that would make sure he would get to good health in no time at all. I never sent out a birth announcement before so I wanted to do it special for him. I thought it would be something sweet that he would have that the others did not get. I did not want him to feel left out because he was our third child. I looked numerous places like invitationbox.com birth announcements. They all had really cute designs. I just loved about everyone of them. I was very happy with the ones that we choose. As a matter of fact I still love them very much. I am sure we will have another baby before we are done and I will have to figure something special for that one as well.

A New Baby

I am very excited to say that I know of three new babies being born this year and early next year. I love to hold little babies and I can not wait for their arrival. Two are from good friends and one is from my sister in law. I am very excited to have a new baby in the family. It will be a nice addition at family get together. It will also be wonderful for the kids to have another cousin.
One of the first things I think of when a new baby is born is that I wonder if they are going to buy gurkha cigars to pass around to family and friends. We do not smoke but it had been a tradition to many people for as long as I can remember. I can remember my dad doing it when my sister was born almost 16 years ago. Ken also did it when Ben was born 7 years ago. It is a nice little gift that visitors can get when they see the baby for the first time. I cant wait to see our new babies. One is actually due on my birthday. How exciting is that!

Nikon

If I have become a fan of a certain type of scope and lens it definitely has to be the nikon brand. I have a nikon camera and I have been researching it for quite some time and they are simply the best in its class. With nikon spotting scopes you can spot just about anything. I think that they would be the perfect gift for just about anyone in the hunting field. I would also like one just for myself to see things that you would not normally see with your eye. I can not wait to purchase my next Nikon product for my camera. I am hoping that it will be sooner rather than later.

Staying Young

One thing that will never go out of style is people trying to stay young. It is a fact that we will all look older as we get older but some people seem to age a little faster than others. It happens to those who like to tan like I do all the time, and those who are very rough on their skin. It seems as if men do not really care if they look older but us women want to try an stay young for as long as possible. I know I use face creams that promise to keep away wrinkles as a moisturizer. One thing that I am very thankful for not really for myself but for other families is treatment centers that help you overcome your addiction. Our Yard

When we first moved into our house Ken really wanted to fix up the yard. I also did because we have a small child and we also had another one on the way which was Madison. We wanted the yard to be functional for the kids and we wanted to be able to let them play out there as well as some relaxing room for ourselves as well. We looked around for fire pits because we wanted to relax with the kids as well as roast marshmallows with the kids. We found one without any problems at our local hardware store. It was one of the very first purchases we made for our yard. We still use the fire pit after many years of it being in our yard. It was a very good purchase that we still enjoy. I love having a fire with Ken in the evenings. Its one of my favorite things to do at night time.

Saving money

I have to say that I am not the best person in the world at couponing. I do like to do it but it does take up a lot of time. I have many friends that are so much better than it than I am and I really wish I had the time to do it like they have. I always come across people that think that I get everything for free and that is not the case. I still go to sales that my fellow couponers have and I buy things that are really inexpensive there.

My Face

Oh man I don't even know where to start my face is a disaster. I really do not understand why it is so bad. I never usually get a lot of pimples but in the past few weeks I am breaking out. I have been trying to treat them every night. I sometimes think I am over doing it. I wish I could learn how to get rid of pimples overnight, I was hoping to get rid of them before my kids party but I guess there are here to stay for a while. I hate how they look but not only that they are pretty painful as well. I hope they go away sometime soon.

Acne

I remember when I was a teenager I was always thinking how to get rid of pimples. I would try just about anything on the market that they said would work. I tried everything from acne treatments to using tooth paste on my pimples over night because it promised to dry them out overnight and make them go away faster. I have to admit I think that tooth paste worked well but I don't really know if it worked or if I was just a crazy teen willing to try any treatment that they said might work. I did not have any money before I had a job so I depended on my parents to get me the acne treatments I wanted to try. That is what lead to me trying so many home remedies. I did not have a computer to use with Internet so I did not know the resources that were available. There is so much information now that I am interested in reading it.

On demand Big Bang

My TV viewing taste favors reality shows over scripted programs but there is one sitcom that I like a lot. Now that my satellite service from BestChoiceTV.com includes it in it's free on demand programming I never miss The Big Bang Theory. This show is wonderfully well written. It focuses on four rather geeky scientists who work and hang out together along with the typical ditzy blonde neighbor.

I think the producers intended the show to focus on the character of Leonard who is played by Johnny Galecki. Galecki played David in Roseanne and is probably the best known of the Big Bang cast. Leonard is actually a very likeable character but the star of the show is definitely Sheldon. Sheldon is played by Jim Parsons who is perfect for the role.

The Sheldon character could easily have faded into the background as one of Leonard's amusing friends or seen unlikable and annoying, as the highly educated scientist is totally unschooled in social graces. With Pasons' extreme talent the fussy, rude and arrogant Sheldon has evolved into a quirky but loveable scamp who is simply too busy solving complex equations to be bothered with etiquette or to worry about other people's feelings.

The most recent episode of Big Bang had me laughing out loud as Sheldon went to extreme lengths to find the secret to a magic trick including hacking into a government computer for assistance. True to form he didn't consider this improper, as he was on a quest for knowledge.

Supplements

Have you ever considered taking supplements? I really have never taken anything except maybe a multivitamin. I have never heard of some of the supplements that are on the market. Who knew there were testosterone supplements that work. I really don't know to much about them or why the average person would want to take them in the first place. I guess they can give you more muscle and make you more of a man. From reading a little bit about the drug it seems that it might really help to boost your muscle mass. I might look into it for Ken. I doubt he will be all into it but you never know.

Hydroxycut

When I think of weight loss products the very first one that comes to my mind is hydroxycut. I think it has something to do with the fact that they are always advertising it on the television set and they they are always getting famous celebrities to endorse it for them. It seem that if they get famous people then they also get more customers to buy the product. I have however seem the hydroxycut side effects and they do not sound to good if you ask me. I personally don't like to use anything with big side effects even though I know that a lot of different pills have side effects. I think there is a better way to achieve weight loss through diet and healthy eating as well as exercise. I have a plan to try and get myself a little healthier and I hope I have the will power to stick to it.

It was an Accident

Did you know that so many people get in injury accidents every single year. I personally have been in only one this year and I am hoping to keep it that way. Accidents are no fun at all especially if you are hurt or someone else is injured in the accident. An accident where someone is hurt is often thought of as an auto accident but it can be much more. Mothers Day

Well mothers day is right around the corner and I am looking forward to it I might add. On mothers day Ken usually always makes me breakfast in bed and I have to admit I love it so much. As a matter of fact I can not remember the last time I was not served in bed on a mothers day. Since it is also mothers day for my mom I always try to give her a nice little personal gift that she can always use and remember that I gave it to her when she uses it. I was thinking this year of a custom print mugs online with maybe the kids pictures on it. I know that she always drinks her coffee so I am sure that she would like a personal mug. I really don't know what else to get her for the special day. I sometimes get her things for her yard and I know that she really likes that as well. I will look around to find the best gift although I am sure she will like anything.

Always Calling

I really don't know why we have so many people calling all the time from different schools but we just always do all the time. Ken is always getting calls from different
accredited online university that promise him a degree in a very short time. Some of the universities we have heard of before and some of them are ones that we do not know anything about. I am not really into the online university thing but if it would help him to get his degree faster than I might be up for the challenge of finding out who they are and what they have to offer. I know that some people really like online schools over going to an actual school everyday for classes. These differentaccredited online university sites are popping up more and more and I would like to research them. I am just happy that Ken is getting his schooling done and that we will have a better future because of it. I hope he gets done soon but as long as he gets the degree that he wants that's all that important.

Patio

Well if you have not read my other blogs that you would not know that this summer Ken is working on a new patio for ourselves. I think that I am going to love it because I have always wanted to be able to get a really nice colorful set. I would also really love a modern set like the ones that zuo makes that are very different form anything I have ever seen before. I think not only would it be really comfortable but also a very nice look in our back yard. It would give Ken and I a very nice place to relax after we get the kids to bed in the evening. It is always nice to have a place for just mom and dad to relax after a nice long day with the children. They have some really nice stuff that I would love to see in our new space. I have to look it over with Ken and maybe we can pick it out together. I would love a bright color or a really dark color. I guess i have not really decided what I want yet. I am just excited to have something new in the yard.

Chocolate

I have a huge bad habit and that is eating candy. It is one of my favorite snacks. That is not really something that I am proud of but I do have to work on it. I love everything thing chocolate and I really love chocolate covered cherries and pretzels. I know that Ken is just as much as a candy eater as I am and I know that he loves the cherries covered in chocolate as well. He is one of the first people to buy them around the holidays. I personally don't really like the cheaper ones but I am all about the good chocolate. And when we are talking about good chocolate online is the place to go for good quality candy at a less expensive price. They have good price and good candy. It is a little to late to get things for the Easter baskets but we can always order some for every day enjoyment.

Coffee

Are you a huge coffee drinker? Well I to be honest have never tried a cup of coffee before in my life. I always however suck up on the free samples because I pass them to my mom who is a huge coffee drinker. Here is a free sample of coffee if your interested.

Christmas Past

Oh how I remember the gifts of Christmas past. I remember when I was a little girl I was an only child. I don't think that that made me a spoiled child because I had so many close cousins and friends. I loved the Christmas season because it was the time that I got to spend with my favorite cousins and we all got together as a family. My one uncle would always buy us all the gift of different Beads and we would all get together and make different necklaces and bracelets all night. It was always a great time. In the evening I would always go home but then come back the following day for a sleep over with them before they left to go back home. Christmas memories always make me happy around that time of year. Every year we could count on my uncle for the same gift. It was funny at the time but we also enjoyed it at the same time.

Playing Sports

One thing that Ken and I agree on is that we think the kids should play sports. We know that it is really good for them to get the exercise of running around and it is also good to teach them good sportsmanship with other kids their age. I don't want one of those poor kids that never get to do anything because their parents are to lazy to get involved with their lives. That really makes me sad to see kids getting neglected. I guess I just always like to get my kids involved in new things. I really think that they enjoy it just as much as we do and they get exercise as well as learning new things. Not once did our kids ever object to doing a new sport. If they did we would figure out why they did not like it and try to work something out. Since they are in sports we try to buy them small gifts at the end of the season. We have never done football yet but maybe next year we will get Ben signed up to try it. We will then need football gifts to get the kids at the end of the season. Just a small little something for the kids really makes them happy. Most parents get something for everyone which makes it really nice.

Protected

Every once in a while Ken comes at me with different ways to try and save a little money. The very first place he always suggests is the car insurance. He always tells me that we can go down from full coverage on the cars since we now own. I always decline the offer. I tell him that I would rather pay the small amount that we would save in case we are even in an accident. I really never looked to see how much we would save but I am not really interested in it either. I love to save money just as much as the next guy but I don't want to compromise our coverage for savings. If you are looking for a deal you can get cheap car insurance quotes right online. You can ask them what it would cost to give you the coverage you are looking to have. I personally like the full coverage just in case I should ever be at fault in an accident. You just never know and I don't want to risk it.

Back in the Day

One of my favorite jobs that I ever worked at was at a pharmacy. I loved it because I made some really good friends there and because the job was just a fun place to work. It was an old time pharmacy and we did not have the modern technologies that the stores have today. I think that the main reason the store went out of business was because there was a lot of shoplifters there because they knew that we did not really have any inventory or any security cameras. Our eyes were pretty much all the security that we had, and even sometimes that was not good enough. We had to see the person pocket the item and then wait for them to leave the store with it before we could call the police. A lot of times by then it was to late and they were gone. We did not have the modern things like a cordless barcode scanner to keep track of where our merchandise was going. I really wish the store was still open today I probably would still work there. I put in my two weeks notice because they were going out of business and I needed a job to pay for my car payment. I loved the job and I would say it was one of my favorites.

Exercise Pants

Last Christmas I remember asking my sister what she wanted for Christmas and she told me that she wanted a pair of yoga pants. I really did not know what they were because I did not know that exercise pants really had a specific name. Well it turned out that a local clothing store sold the pants that she wanted. She did not want them for exercising but she wanted them because the school that she goes to allows the kids to wear them. They have a very strict dress code so if they have something that the students are allowed to wear the kids usually always buy some. I really wanted to get her some as a gift but when I went they did not have the size that she needed. I did not know that they also sold them online or I would have had an easier time finding a gift. It took me forever to try and think of something that could be a good gift for her since I did not know about the website. I might just get her a couple pairs for her birthday since it is right around the corner.

Outside

I love to go outside. More than I love to go outside though the kids love to be out there. I have to think that it was because they were born in the summer and because of it they love the outdoors. They would be happy doing just about anything outside. My favorite thing to do out there is to sit by ourfire pit. We always do things like roast hot dogs as a family or maybe marshmallows as well. The kids love spending that time together as a family and so do we as parents. I have to say that sitting around the campfire is one of my all time favorite activities of the summer season. Ken was actually going to start chopping some wood for some upcoming fires if it would ever stop raining around here. I really wish that it would stop because we have all be wanting to go outside and do some yard work and some other outdoor activities.

What is better than a free item? Well if you ask me I would have to say nothing at all. I was able to score a free Gillette proglide razor on the internet just by liking them on facebook. I guess you can also get a free sample by watching a small youtube video. It seems like a really nice razor. I have not gotten mine yet but I am looking forward to it. On the Road

Have you ever been on the road and had a problem with your car? Well that has happened to us one time when we had one of our other cars. As a matter of fact we were on our way home form a long trip and my parents were a few miles away from us so it was nice. We just called my dad and he fixed the problem with the car. That time we ended up being pretty lucky. That is not always the case. Since I always go places by myself with the kids I thought that joining a roadside assistance club would be a really good idea. It would put my mind at ease when I was traveling alone with the kids. I would know that we would always be protected if we should come across car problems. They would help you out with your car and then I would not have to worry about being some place stranded with the kids. It makes me feel better knowing I have a back up plan. I am all about back up plans now that I am a mom.

A New Job

To be honest I can not even remember the last time I filled out an application. Right now I am a stay at home mom and there is now job that I would rather have in my life. I love being home with the kids all the time. Don't get me wrong sometimes it is a lot of work and sometimes I have a crabby attitude but for the most part we have pretty good days. I would not want a job right now even if I was offered one with really good pay. Did you happen to see all the different columbus jobs that they are looking to fulfil? It seems like the job market is really booming around that area. I don't thing that we are doing so well where I live but hopefully soon it will pick up again. It is so sad that some people are still looking for work. I really hope that everyone that needs a job will soon find the relief they have been needing.

Hello Hello

The other day I went shopping with my mom and my sister. We went to a few stores and when I was shopping I remembered Ken telling me that he needed some new belts. Well I tried to call him numerous times but my cell phone was not getting a good signal. I really could have used a wireless cell booster. I would connect with him and then my phone would drop the call. I was so upset because all I needed to know was what size his old belt was so I could buy a new one. Well I got so frustrated with my phone I just gave up all together. I finally got a hold of him when I went outside. I guess I will just have to pick up a new belt another day.

Working Out

I am kind of excited that Ken and I have decided that we need to exercise. It was a part of our day until last year when we went on vacation. We used to do it downstairs when the kids went to bed. Yesterday we decided to start it again. We have decided that we really need to push each other because right now we are both very weak in the exercise department. I did not know that there was a pre workout supplement that gave you more energy and helped you burn more calories. I might have to look into this because at the end of the day I'm already tired and could use all the energy that I can get. I am sure Ken would be interested in trying it as well. Maybe it will give us the extra push we need.

Investing

How do you choose to invest? Well I have to say we really do not have a special way of investing. I know that some use the collecting of different coins or maybe even a gold bar. We are not really collectors of these things we just choose to have a regular old savings account. I know that collecting thing really takes money and most of all knowledge of what your investing in as well. I don't know much about investing but I would really like to lean more about it. I will have to research it to learn more before we go to invest lots of money into it. I wonder if any of my family members do this kind of investing. I will have to see if they have any tips.

Uniforms

Did you ever have a job where you had to wear a uniform? I have actually had a few jobs where I needed to wear one but most of the time it was just a shirt that I needed to wear that was of the companies logo. I can not say that I ever had a job that required a specific shirt and a pant as well. I don't know that I would like to wear a uniform. I am not really liking the washing that goes along with it. It seems like they would only give you a few and you would always be doing the wash.
When it comes to nursing scrubs the market is so open. You can pretty much wear whatever you want. When you are in the medical field you can wear scrub tops that are very vibrant and colorful as well as ones that are action packed. They have so many these days with different designs to suite everyone's taste in a uniform. That way you can still be fashionable and wear a uniform at the same time. I think it is better when you have your own unique style when you choose your scrubs.

Facebook

Did you ever realize how many different free samples and free products that you can get on facebook. I have to say just about every single week I an getting a coupon for a free product just because I "liked" them on facebook. That is my reader tip of the day. Get connected on facebook and sign up for different blog sites that alert you when free samples and products are given away. You really can get a lot of free stuff and if you get your coupon you can always take your like away later if you really don't like them.

I really do love shoes. They're my favorite accessory and way to make a statement, so I use that opportunity to do that with them to its fullest. I mean, I might as well take advantage of that!
So when I decided that I wanted a pair of motorcycle boots, I went online to look at some real ones that I made to wear when riding a motorcycle. When I was browsing through some pictures of those boots and imagined myself wearing them, I came across the site SatelliteStarInternet.com. I read through it a little bit and then switched over my home internet service to them.
The pair of motorcycle boots that I ordered have these swinging chains that hang off the back of them and just look super rugged, which is exactly what I wanted. Because they're so tough looking though, I have to be kind of careful about what I wear with them so that it doesn't look like I'm wearing them with a costume. But they look really great with plain old skinny jeans and even leggings and dresses.

A Beautiful Day

I don't know if any of you noticed that this past Friday happened to be a beautiful day here in Illinois. Well it was for our part of the state anyways. We did not do anything special but we did get to play outside after school. The kids and I played for a few hours as a matter of fact. When Ken came home he also joined us in playing outside. We played catch with all three kids and they actually got to ride their bikes a little as well. Aidan rode a small bike for the first time and he just loved it. He really did not know how to pedal the bike yet but he just pushed it around with his feet. It was still a little muddy from all the snow melting so I kept the kids in their rain boots so that we could just rinse them off when we went inside.

When Ken was home he was walking me around the yard telling me the projects that he wanted to start this year. I know that he wants to seal the driveway and we would also like to get the garage painted as well. Then he started telling me that he would really like to give the kids a larger play area. We currently have a small slide and a sand box as well. I would not mind getting rid of the sand box and checking out larger wooden swing sets to replace it. It would keep the kids more entertained and cut down on the mess that sand brings. I really like the one pictured above. I know the kids would love the club house up top and the one on the bottom. Madison absolutely loves to swing so it would be right up her alley.

One thing is for sure and thats that our whole family is looking forward to spring. We really want to make a lot of home improvements this year on the outside of our home. It would be nice to have a big play area for the three kids to enjoy themselves while we are getting other jobs done.

New Glasses

I have been blessed with good eyes I guess. In my family every single person has glasses. They might not wear them all the time but they are suppose to wear them. I don't know how I do not need to wear them but I am pretty thankful because cheap eyeglasses are pretty hard to find these days. Ken does not get new glasses like he should but I can not do everything for him. I already have to make all his appointments for him in order for him to go to the doctor or the dentist. It seems like I always tell him he should see the eye doctor again but he never wants to so I just leave it alone. I don't want to be the hounding wife so I let things go sometimes. I am just hoping that the kids will not need glasses but if it happens it happens. You never know what the future will bring.

Life Insurance

One thing that Ken and I do not have for me is a life insurance policy. We also do not have one for our children either. There is just something about buying a policy for your child that I really do not like at all. I can not imagine that day happening to us and I really don't even want to plan for it. There are things that we can get for them like term life insurance quotes for maybe when they are a little bit older. I do not really feel comfortable doing it just yet for the kids and I know that Ken would never even consider it but I think it is something that we should look into being responsible parents. I think that first we need to get a policy for me and then move on from there. I am sure eventually we will have a policy for everyone but as for now we are happy with what we have.

Flowers

One thing that I love about Ken is that he is always buying me flowers. I have to say I get flowers all the time. As a matter of fact he just bought me flowers two days ago and they were my very favorite flowers which are tulips. I am not really a big huge fan of roses. I know some girls only like roses but they just do not look as pretty to me as a small bunch of tulips. Ken has used internet flower shops before and they always are very nice as well. I tell him that he should always use Proflowers coupons if he is going to use them as his flower delivery choice. He likes to save money as well and I like him to use a coupon to get it a little cheaper than without. Sometimes you can just get free delivery or even a free vase. That does save you a lot of money in the long run. I love flowers and i hope that Ken does not ever sop buying them for me.

Diapers

What do you with the free samples of diapers you get in the mail? Personally I always try to get the smallest size diaper available so that Maddie can have it for her baby dolls. She really always loves getting a diaper sample in the mail. I like it as well because then I don't have to buy diapers for her doll as well. Whats Right for you?

One thing that I am thankful for is that everyone is different. I used to wish I was like my friends when I was in high school because they were more popular an that many other different things that I did not have growing up. I guess every teenager goes through that at one point because it is human nature. I have since grown up and I am happy that everyone is different in the world and that we all have different bodies and personalities. I could not even imagine what the world would be like if we were all the same. Since we are all different we all need different things to help us loose weight. Our House

It does not seem like that long ago we were in the market for our house. Then I look an see that since we have bought our house we have already had two more kids. Big Event

Did you ever notice that when you are planning on a big event that you seem to have many break outs. I personally always think that it is caused from a lot of stress before the big day. I have not really had a big day for a long time but I know that I always would get a pimple when the event would arrive because I would be so nervous how it will turn out. Well lately I have been getting a few blemishes here and there because I was stressed out for a while. I was having some bad days when I was in the car accident and I had to get the van fixed. I was without a car for a couple days because a part was being ordered and Ken did not get it in time to fix it. I know It was really stressful for me to depend on my mom to get and take Ben to school. I could have really used some acne products that work. There are so many different things on the market and trust me I have tried a ton of over the counter solutions. They always seem to make me break out more or to really dry my face out. Hopefully I have found a solution.

Belly Fat

One thing that I have noticed is that after you have a child and you happen to have it by c-section you always seem to have this extra belly fat. My doctor told me it was because the muscles and the nerves in your lower abdomen have been cut and have not repaired. I know mine have already been cut three times now so I don't really know if I have much hope in getting rid of this extra fat. I know that I would love to learn how to lose belly fat without being told just to exercise it away. I pretty much know that I need to do more of that. I just wish there was a magic trick to wishing it away. I am really going to try to work on getting rid of it because I hate that part of me and I do want another baby sometime. I just want to get it gone before that happens.

My Dream Kitchen

I do have a dream kitchen in mind. I know it does not seem like it considering that right now because our kitchen is very tiny. I do however have a nice kitchen in mind that I would like to have complete with pendant lighting and marble counter top. I would also like to have in kitchen seating as well as an island and bar seating as well. I know that I have a huge dream but someday I am pretty sure that we will have it all. I want to have a kitchen that is big enough to cook for the holidays so that we can invite both our families over at the same time. I think it would be really nice to all get together for the holidays. I remember Ken telling me when we first meet that it was his dream to host holiday dinners for both our families. I am sure it will still be a while but hopefully we will have our dream kitchen in a few years.

Printer Ink

I have a new found hobby and that happens to be couponing. Since I have started couponing I have noticed that I am using a lot more printer ink. As a matter of fact I was using so much ink that I actually purchased a laser printer for the jobs that require more printing. I now use my ink jet printer when I need to print something out in color. I have been buying my inkjet ink cartridges online because I found out from a friend that you can get a much better deal if you buy online rather than in the stores. I like to buy them in bulk so that I always have them. It seems like I am now saving so much more money since the laser printer and buying my ink online. I like to save money because then I can buy more things couponing.

Wallets

I have to say they have thought of it all when it comes to scamming. It is pretty sad that we regular people have to buy special rfid blocking wallets now just to stop things of ours from getting cloned or stolen. It is pretty neat that we have thought to make something just to block the thieves but sad that it is even needed in the very first place. These wallets can stop people from stealing your numbers and also help with keeping your magnetic strip in tact. It makes it easy to make a small investment to save you from a big problem later on if you happen to get cloned. They have special sleeves that you can use for your cards. It does not make for a big bulky wallet just for extra security. Pretty neat if you think about it.

Save the Date

When Ken and I got married we did have to send out a few save the date cards to a couple relatives that lived out of state. It was nothing really fancy just a note to basically tell them that they needed to get their calendars ready because we were getting married. They are also nice because we had a few relatives that were flying in from far away it allowed them to get plane tickets if they didn't already know when the wedding was going to take place. My cousin had some really cute cards when they got married in Las Vegas last summer. It was a magnet that you could stick on the refrigerator. I thought it was pretty handy because I seen it every time I went into the kitchen. They have some really cute different styles for every wedding need.

Ceiling fan

When we first bought our house there was a ceiling fan in the living room. It was very ugly but at that point I did not care because I wanted to save some money rather than spend it right away replacing things that worked just fine. Well as luck would have it the very first time we turned it on was the very last time as well. It never worked again. We then realized that we should replace it and also put a light there that was more modern. We decided to go to our local hardware store and we purchased our first Hunter fans. We bought one for our living room and one for our bedroom as well. After that we just loved them. I love the way they look in the room as well as the air out put from the fan itself. It really is a nice fan for the price of what we paid. Don't get me wrong it was not the cheapest fan on the market but for the price it was well worth the investment. I would like to replace the one in Aidan's room as well sometime soon. Hopefully sometime this year.

The Hose

I remember the very first year we moved into our house. I did not know different hings needed to be done to a house to repair it for the winter season. I remember the very first year we did not disconnect the hose from the outside and over the cold winter months the line froze and was leaking in the basement. Ken had to do some plumbing work and get it fixed. It was thankfully just a very small fix but we never owned a house to think about doing things like that before winter. I also never knew what a teflon hose was used for until I read about it. I think that it would be great to have a high pressure hose around the garage. It is great for high temperatures and many other uses as well. They can be pretty expensive if you do not shop around for them. I'm sure not everyone needs a hose like this but it would be a nice gift for the person that has everything. Maybe for Ken's dad this year.

New Year

I have heard the phrase new year new you about a million and a half times over the past years. It seems as if the diet pill companies always pump their products around the new year. It is because everyone always makes new years resolutions around the start of the new year. Since it is the new year I guess it would be a nice time to start a new diet. With ephedra diet pills you just might be able to keep your new years resolution. I have not really started to make resolutions this year but rather I have made goals for myself. I tried to make them reachable goals rather than to drastic so that I can actually achieve them in the future. How about you? Did you make any new goals?

Vacation

About this time last year we were planning our vacation to Disney World. I was so excited that Ken was going to see it and the kids for the very first time. It was amazing watching their faces as they seen it. It is always a very fun and emotional time when you get to go after waiting for many years. Ken could not believe how awesome it was and was already talking about going back before we were even home. This year we have not yet started to plan our vacation as it will be a little smaller of a trip since we just got back fro Texas. I was thinking about beach rentals outer banks this year. It will be a nice relaxing vacation but still really nice to spend time with the kids and family. I am looking forward to summer and another vacation with the kids. I have to admit I live for vacations. I cant wait to begin planning it.

My Favorites - Any Day, Any Time

When I first started listening to Glenn Beck on the radio about a decade ago, I think I was part of a very tiny group of fans. I enjoyed listening to the crazy humor and political commentary of this self-proclaimed rodeo clown and talk show host, but my friends had no idea who he was. A few years after I started listening, CNN Headline News gave Beck a spot in its evening television line-up. I was hooked, and I watched every night.
After his strong showing on that network, Beck was recruited to host a new show on Fox News Network. I'm sure many of his fans just switched channels and followed him to the new network. At my house, there was one problem. The new show was on at 5 p.m., when many of us are typically at work. The show repeated every night at 2 a.m., when I'm nearly always asleep.
Around this time, I signed up for satellite television at my home. Problem solved! With a DVR, anyone can record their favorite Direct TV Packages shows to watch later. You really can't beat the convenience of being able to track your shows, store them and watch them whenever you have free time. Now I can set my own schedule, so I can follow my favorite talk show host any day and any time.

I am so happy to announce that a company emailed me and actually asked me to review one of their products. Watching Satellite TV And Having Fun New Year's Eve

Is there any other New Year's show than Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin Eve with Ryan Seacrest? I really couldn't tell you if there was or not. This is the only one I watch. I just love the entertainment that is always presented with this one. When you are satisfied with what you have why go looking for something else.
I always watch Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin Eve with Ryan Seacrest on my BestChoiceTV because I think it gives me more of what I want. Just because I only watch one New Year's program doesn't mean that I don't watch other things during the year.
I'm so getting excited about the good time we are going to have this year because we have invited some friends over to help us celebrate. These guys are the best. We have known them pretty much since we got married and we get along great. We like the same things but that doesn't mean we are boring. We like to laugh and talk and we even play games when we spend a lot of time together.
Oh yeah, and they have kids our kids age and that helps keep them busy too and kind of out of our way while we have fun. Now who could ask for more than that?

Making Wine

Ken was talking to our neighbor the other day as they were shoveling the sidewalks and they were talking about wine. I have really never been a wine drinker but that is because I have never tried it before. Ken said that Al came out with a glass and asked him to do a taste test. Ken said it was really god and asked him what it was. Al our neighbor said it was his Christmas gift to his friends he made some homemade wine for everyone this year. I did not try it but Ken said it tasted just like real grape juice. He said that Al should get some stainless steel barrels and make it in larger amounts. I heard that wine gets even better if it sits for a long time. Our neighbor is pretty good at making things so it did not surprise me that he could also make wine. He makes some really good pasta sauce. He is mostly Italian so that is not surprising either. I will have to try some next time he makes a batch.

I personally always read reviews. It is sometimes hard to find a review that you can really trust. I know that some places have bad reviews and that really does not reflect what they are talking about. I like to read honest reviews from people that have actually used the product before. Take the best diet pill review for example. It can be read by millions of searchers every single day. I like a place to have reviews because I like to know how it worked with others before I would go and recommend it to a friend or spend the money on it myself. It is amazing how much people spend in the diet industry these days especially in the month of January alone. It is one of the biggest selling months. White Teeth

One thing that I look at the very first time I meet someone is their teeth. I am a bog teeth person. I really think that they reflect hygiene for a person. I like a person that has really nice teeth. That is one of the reasons that I liked Ken. He had really nice teeth. I personally like to have my teeth whitened on occasion. I have tried the crest white strips but they tend to hurt my teeth. Xbox

Ken has always been a video game lover. He is not the over obsessed ones that are into gaming all the time and getting the magazines delivered in the mail but he enjoys it in his free time. I have to admit that I also like to play the video game systems on occasion. I don't have very much time for it and I would rather read a lot than play games but it is fun every once in a while. One system we do not have is the xbox 360. We have looked into getting one and also the xbox 360 controller but we have not really made a purchase as of yet. I don't know if Ken really wants one yet since he is really into the wii right now. I am sure in the future we will get one as they come out with new features for it.

Jewerly Lover

I have to tell you that I love jewelry. I love it so much that I wear it every single day even when I am not planning to go out or to dress up. I am a little picky about my jewelry because I don't like stuff that turns my finger green or hurts my ears because it was fake. When I was younger I always used to have rings that would turn my finger green after wearing them for a long time. I have since upgraded to only real jewelry. I don't have many cubic zirconia rings rings anymore because I prefer to have real diamonds. They do make some very nice jewelry that is not a diamond however. I have to tell you I love having free hair care products in the mail. Since I have curly hair it is always important that I change my products so that I can keep my dry hair moisturized. Missouri To Face Iowa In Insight Bowl

There are going to be a lot of good people out there at the Missouri versus Iowa matchup at the Insight Bowl in Tempe, Arizona. You have to understand that the Missouri Tigers and Iowa Hawkeyes both have extremely good tailgaters who can travel well in a given situation. You want to make sure that you set your alarm system (Texas ADT Home security specials) before you go to the bowl game so you don't end up missing some of that great tailgating action.
Missouri happens to have a seven and five record all time against the Iowa Hawkeyes. You have to admit that coach Gary Pinkel is likely feeling confident about the game given that two of the Iowa Hawkeyes starters on offense are suspended for the game. The 00-17 Tigers have already been applauded for using a more aggressive style of defense that happen to lead to wins over the University of Oklahoma for example earlier this season. Iowa on the other hand has already been out West this season and they lost to a very capable Arizona Wildcats team early in the season in Tuscon, Arizona The fact that the team already made such a trip early in the season should help with the large amount of stress that can be put upon a team if they are not use to the concept of making such a trek.

Medical Supplies

I really do not have much use for medical supplies. I do not really know anyone that gets home health care and I don't have any sick family. I do always wonder where place buy those point of care carts because I could use one for my crafts that I am always making. It seem like it would be good to hold a lot of different little things that I always use. Sometimes I think outside of the box and use things for things they aren't intended to be used for. It does not really matter because if I am making the purchase than I can use it for just about anything. You can however use it for medical supplies if thats that you need it for as well. They have many uses and they are available online for purchase.
