Ken has a life insurance policy through his work. I am a little thankful for it because if something did happen to him at least that would help a little bit with the bills that we have. However I do not have any protection for him if something should happen to me. With the very expensive cost of funerals these days that would really be a burden on him. I was checking into a life insurance online quote without telling him. I know that it would be best for us both even thought he does not want to get me a policy. He said he does not want to think about something happening. Well nobody really does but if something does happen the other party is always thankful if you are prepared. It sure would help out with the cost of things if something unexpected did happen.

It is that time of year again for us to check to see if we have the best possible insurance policy. Every year towards the beginning of the year I always start shopping around for a different auto insurance quote. It makes it a habit when you set that time of year every year to check. It is also amazing at the savings you come across if you just check every once in a while. You might even find that you actually qualify for an additional savings with your current company. That has happened to us many times. We will have to check it out and see what we can save this year.

Everyone is Different

One thing that I am very thankful for is that God has made every single person different. It is super hard to believe that no two people in the whole world are the exact same. That itself is a miracle if you ask me. I know that it does not really matter what you look like on the outside that what is inside is what really matters but I sometimes still worry about ageing. It is something that is always on my mind when I have a birthday. If I look back already to when Ken and I first meet I can see a major difference in how we look. Not only do we look older but we have also put on a few pounds here and there. That is one thing that we are trying to take away from us both in this coming year. We don't like what what we have added to our bodies not to mention it is not healthy for us to be over weight. We don't want to be one of those couples that can not move when we are eighty years old because we want that time to be the best days of our lives. We want to travel the world. I also research different wrinkle removers quite often because I would hate to look super old. Some people look really great in their old age and others look very scary. I don't want to be a person that looks ten times their age. Hopefully I will find the right regimen for me.

Just went shopping

I just had to run to the store to grab something and I happen to walk down the very first isle and it was loaded with weight loss products that promised to help you drop pounds with out exercise. I have to say that that right there tells me that those products are most likely not going to do anything. If you are going to start a diet you always need to begin to eat more healthy and get a little more exercise that you have been getting in the past. I did not expect to really see anything else in the main isle since almost everyone's resolution is to loose weight. I also would like to loose some weight in the upcoming year. It sure is hard to stay motivated especially since I have such a sweet tooth.

The Perfect Job

My mom is always looking for a job. I guess the reason she is always looking is because she really likes to have extra spending money just like everyone else. I personally think that she should look for jobs in administration . She never keeps a job for very long once she has it because she has really bad back problems and she always seems to get jobs that require a ton of lifting. She likes to be a waitress but lifting that heavy tray all the time could permanently injure her back. I remember when I was little about Bens age she had back surgery and they had some complications and they told her that they almost paralyzed her. To this day she still suffers from chronic back pain because of the problems she had during surgery. An administrative job would be perfect for her since they don't require much lifting.

January

Well January is almost over but it is still on the minds of hundreds of people that made the new years resolution to shed a few pounds. Time to plan

When I used to work at our local home improvement store I remember there was a lady that worked in the plumbing department that I always used to talk with. She was so nice and around this time of year I always think of her because it's tax time and because that meant that it was vacation time for her. Every year around the tax season her and her husband would always plan a panama city beach vacations. They would book now in January and then when they got their tax refund they would pay off the amount owed on the trip. It was a little reward for them both for working hard all year long. Ken and I always dreamed of doing this as well. Since we can not really do it right now with the kids all being small maybe in a few years we will be on a better foot and start booking out tropical vacations.

The Sheet

One thing that I am always doing is putting a sheet on the furniture. I think that is because I have started to love the way a sheet feel instead of the couch. I began doing it at first because the dog is always sitting on it and I hated spending all day long vacuuming out the dog hair. It just seemed easier to do it one time and then put a sheet on it and change it every day. Ken however hates the sheet and would love to get some contemporary sofas to make out living room look a little nicer. I know the sheet looks a little sloppy sometimes but I have to tell you right now it is much easier than buying a new sofa. Maybe next year we will look into getting new furniture.

Well I have actually been waiting to give this three in one thing a try. It is laundry soap and fabric softener as well as a dryer sheet all in one. If they work really well than I might be purchasing this great little invention. I love it when places allow you to sample things before you buy them. Right now I love my tide and my Downy but I might be willing to give them up if this is easier.
